EPSE complete the Refurbishment of 10 No. South East Water Booster Pump Stations with works progressing at a further 2 No.
EPS Environmental has successfully completed the refurbishment of 10 No Booster Pump Stations for South East Water. The EPSE Project team scope included:
- Project and programme design management
- Equipment surveys and condition assessment
- E&M capital maintenance to water booster pumping stations
- Instrumentation control, automation and telemetry systems upgrades.
A further 2 No. Booster Stations are in progress. Work scope includes:
- Vertical & inline booster pump installations
- Control kiosks for the control equipment, electrical incomer and ancillary equipment feeds.
- MCC inc PLC, HMI and UPS.
- Instrumentation control, automation and telemetry systems upgrades.
- Civil works
As these sites were fully operational and of strategic importance, South East Water required the improvements to be made to the pumping stations with the minimum disruption to the end user. Therefore an over-pumping strategy was employed by EPS Environmental Ltd which resulted in no loss of water supply to the customers who rely on these sources of water.
The project was completed over 30 weeks and involved only one 4 hour midnight shutdown and no reportable H&S incidents.
