EPS Environmental as an Associate Delivery Partner for Scottish Water’s Q&SIIIa period developed the design of 12 Low Pressure Alleviation Schemes. These schemes, located throughout Scotland, were required to increase the pressure of the potable water supply and generally only affected a small number of houses on the network (between 5 and 25). Certain properties within the Nant Drive (Oban) distribution system suffered from low pressure water supply. The installation of a booster pumping station was proposed to ensure that all properties connected to the distribution system receive water at or above the reference level of 15m as per the Scottish Water specification. EPS Environmental undertook the complete detailed design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a skid mounted booster pump set and associated control panel to be installed in a kiosk in the vicinity of Nant Drive.
- Installation of new kiosk complete with all ancillaries.
- Installation of 2 No Multi stage Booster pumps, pipe-work, valves & pressure transducers.
- Installation of Hydro MPC Control panel for the pumps
- Supply and install telemetry outstation
